I'm on the hunt for software alternatives to Bulk Image Downloader that are compatible with Linux. I've been using Bulk Image Downloader on Windows for a while, and it's been great for my needs, but I recently switched to Linux and realized it doesn't work here. I'm looking for something with similar functionality that can help me download images in bulk from various websites.

I've also been in the same boat after transitioning to Linux. One tool that I found to be quite effective is JDownloader. It's not exclusively for images, as it can download practically anything off the internet, but it does a great job with images too. It's Java-based, so it works across all OS platforms including Linux. The interface might take a bit of getting used to if you're coming from Bulk Image Downloader, but it's incredibly powerful once you get the hang of it. Give it a shot!

I completely understand your situation. I went through a similar search and discovered RipMe. It's an excellent alternative to Bulk Image Downloader for Linux users. RipMe is great for downloading images in bulk from a wide range of websites and it's open source. The setup is straightforward, and it supports album downloading from several popular sites like Imgur, Twitter, Reddit, and more. Plus, it has a simple GUI if you prefer not to use the command line. It's been a lifesaver for me, so definitely worth checking out!
